One year after the Election...regardless of whether a Dem or GOP President gets in...

and then the three warring factions will trissect Iraq in about half an hour and be done with it.

If Iraq lasts that long. And partitioning Iraq won't work either - but at this point I really don't know what will.

Now in the fifth year year of engagement, the Mission Accomplished Banner safely tucked away, the new force prepares to enter the fray in the rebel hotspots.

The subsequent failure to create a democratic oasis in Mesopotamia was based on a LIE that propelled the soldiers there in the first place and now has systematically dissolved any goodwill that the USA represented before this War...now it is just about saving face..and that is no way to run a war.

In a recent poll of 27 countries surveyed by the BBC to rate the influence of nations 51% of Americans now admit that the USA is seen as a Negative Force..in league with Russia, North Korea, Iran and Israel. Only Kenya, Nigeria na d the Phillipines thought that it was Positive...the other 24 strongly disagreed...
Mission Accomplished indeed.

I had to take ten days off last month to go to a funeral in Tennessee/Kentucky. My sister in-law, who was married to a soldier stationed at Ft. Cambell, died. There are things that are a lot more important than Blogging.

I take breaks once in a while anyways. It helps to keep the brain from exploding because of information overload.

Oh, CT Man, I'm so sorry!

You're right, sometimes you just have to take a break for sanity's sake :)
