Fashionista I am not

If I had any place to wear ^ that, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Unfortunately I have no place to wear it to. Even if I did, I'd stand out like a sore thumb.

It's sad that people don't dress up anymore. If I had it my way men would be in tuxedos 24x7x365 - evening dress (formal attire) would be de rigueur for all occasions. Men would wear hats again. Nice hats, not baseball caps.

I'm tired of the dress-down look. I go to the office each day in jeans and tee's, true, but I want a little more glamour in my life. More color, more sparkle. More like this or this .

I soooooo agree with you, Laura. Although I would not want to wear a tuxedo every day I would wear one to take you to opening night at the symphony. If you wear that number you have displayed then we'd have to listen to the hearts breaking as we walked from the restaurant to the symphony hall. We'd make a great looking couple! :)

I know what you mean! I can't really dress up in daily life, but I've begun to toss out all the yucky tees and buy actual shirts that have some sparkle or shine.

Of course - it does make me appear more mature and so I have to put up with people asking me what to do.

One thing I miss about Montreal is the nightlife. Sure there are the college bars and clubs there where you will see the kids in jeans and tees, BUT most clubs have minimum dress codes: NO jeans, NO t-shirts, NO sneakers. Some clubs are even more demanding than that.

When people go out on a Friday or Saturday night up there they get dressed up a bit otherwise they won't get into most bars and clubs.

I live in Schlep City so the simple act of wearing a 'shirt' makes me look like James Bond.

I have never figured out why the great unwashed think that it is cool to expose their horrid little bodies to the world?

Listen, since you are my resident political expert I want to bounce something off of you.

Apparently the race is going to be between Gore and Thompson next year...all of this other stuff is pure hooey. Think of the miilions of dollars wasted...anyway do you believe that the Goracle is just pulling a Nixon and pretending to stay out? He'd mop the floor with Hillary.

Any chance you will be returning soon? You are missed.

I miss you too. Who else can I ask about the Bloomberg/Thompson/Gore Electorial discombobulation set to begin this fall?! HUH?

But suppose I prefer three-piece 1930's cut summer-weight wool suits instead of tuxes?

And Gore probably won't be running in '08 - still too much baggage from '00, too much revanchism from the Hillary camp, and a return in the national Democratic party to the same sort of 'me too' factionalism among the traditional Democratic special interest blocs of the post-1964 epoch.
Bad part is, I'm starting to like Kucinich . . . . I need some lithium
